Case Study | Filofax display
In order to not only secure current users but encourage the younger market, filofax wanted to establish strong presence in it's key outlets. arken proactively proposed a flexible solution that could display both inserts and diaries, dependant on the stores needs.
The main objective was to promote the Filofax brand with a premier looking unit with sufficient stock holding. The large graphic area enabled the logo to stand out and create recognition with shoppers.

Two wheel mounted 500 mm units were developed that could stand side by side or on their own depending on the retail size and requirements of the outlet. One to house the Filofax wallets the other the diary inserts. Space has previously been an issue, leading to non-placement in the retail environment, and was deemed a critical factor at the design stage. These units therefore use the minimum footprint.
These units have also been designed to look like a piece of furniture, creating popularity amongst outlets, usually very keen to locate the units in the stores, as they look so good.
Winning Silver at the 2009 Popai awards the judges commented:
"This was a good design that really seemed to fit the Filofax brand and the channel – independent retailers and stationers."
