Case Study | Maplin - battery shop display stand
Maplin wanted to improve the visibility of batteries in store, resulting in arken designing this eye catching freestanding shop display stand that could be positioned in various locations around the store.
The shop display stand included interchangeable ‘wraps’ for different battery brand campaigns, allowing the brands to take full advantage of this highly visible product display. Initially an own-label unit, the adaptability and the ease with which graphics could be changed allowed for brand specific promotions, increasing the longevity of the display.
The retail display stands needed to offer Maplin customers the ability to shop from the unit in highly visible areas such as the point of sale area. The schedule was set to roll-out the display units in time for Christmas and satisfy the additional seasonal demand.
The retail display stands achieved a return on investment in just four months and a sales increase of 115% over the Christmas period compared to the previous year.
